Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take me to go through the course?

This will vary on how quickly you are to implement each module but count on 2-5 hours per week for 8 weeks. Obviously, you can go as fast or as slow as you’d like, but that’s a good rough estimate! If you follow along real time you get immediate access to the welcome video! On January 25th the first three training modules will be released, a week to implement and then access to the following three training modules on February 15th followed by a final week to implement. You will be granted access to the private FB group!

What equipment will I need for the course?

The minimum requirement for the course is a DSLR camera. Having basic knowledge of how to use your camera is an asset but not required. If you do not yet have a studio lighting system it may take additional time for you to get that set up.

What if I can't make the Live Q&A sessions?

No worries! These sessions will be saved in the Facebook group and you can replay them or listen at a later time when it works for you.

What's the difference in the two prices?

The follow along option is designed for those who would like to take their time and implement the modules as they have the time. It is recommended to follow along with the group timeline in order to ask questions in real time week to week.

What is the refund policy?

I offer a 30 day money back policy. If you have done your homework and are not getting results then I am happy to refund! But I know that if you follow along you will progress in your newborn photography journey.

Do I need a live baby to do the course?

You do not. Most of the videos in the course are done with a live baby however if you are a beginner it is great to start on a life size doll and get confident before moving onto working with baby in person.

This newborn photography course is built to develop your confidence in your sessions. By keeping the workflow simple you will be able to plan each pose and wrap and light your images perfectly every time!

What if I am not able to carry out newborn sessions during Covid?

We are in a very unique time in history where many photographers are not able to run their businesses as usual. However, we are also in a unique time where many of us are at home more than usual. This is a great time to delve into a course online at your own pace, and take the steps to become a newborn photographer. This is also a great time to analyse your work and brush up on any skills that you are struggling with. If you are struggling with achieving consistency in your images and lack confidence running your newborn sessions then this is the perfect course for you. If you have limitations on taking in person newborn sessions at this time, then you will have longer to set up your studio, light system and practice your posing and wrapping. You can certainly test out angles on inanimate objects (ie. teddy bears) and can trial wrapping on a life sized doll. The modules are designed to be teaching modules so that you can implement them with your clients as soon as you feel confident and are safely able to.
